Little is known about the populations of marine mammals throughout the world.  Health assessments and abundance studies of marine mammal groups are critical research areas. While this type of research is costly and time-consuming it opens the door to the collection of critical scientific data.  The intended outcome of our research program is for government and individuals to make informed marine policy decisions.
